Who We Are
Zana Community Church (ZCC) is called to worship and glorify the true God, to proclaim the gospel of grace of the crucified and risen Christ and to advance the Kingdom that God is building in our community and to the ends of the earth
On Sunday, July 27, 1997, Zana Community Presbyterian Church celebrated its first worship service in Zana led by Pastor Dave Eby who led a team of eleven Americans that partnered with the Presbyterian Church in Uganda (PCU) to plant ZCPC. The first worship service was held in Zana central club with a handful of believers. The following year the congregation moved to the present site with a temporary shade. That marked the beginning of a faith mission to evangelize but also the influence the community. The church has grown in a series of developments over the years. The denominational training institute operated on the same site for over eight years and later moved to it’s final home in Bweya. The church started a school to help the community and it has grown from Nursery to Secondary / High school level.
